1. What BuyTheDate is
BuyTheDate is a novelty digital calendar. Customers purchase the right to display a short message and an optional image on a selected date tile at https://buythedate.com. BuyTheDate is not a dating, matchmaking, escort, or personal-interaction service. A purchase does not promise any meeting, relationship, response, or contact with another person.
2. Display rights
When you complete checkout, you receive a limited, revocable license to display your submitted username, message, and optional image on the chosen calendar tile until that tile is later purchased again or your content is removed under these terms. You are buying display rights only. No intellectual property in the platform itself transfers to you.
3. User content
You are responsible for the content you submit. You must have the rights needed to post your text and image, and your submission must comply with the Content Policy. By submitting content, you grant BuyTheDate a non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and moderate that content as needed to operate the service.
4. Moderation and enforcement
BuyTheDate uses post-moderation. Content may appear publicly after payment and can later be reviewed, removed, or restricted if it violates the Content Policy or applicable law. BuyTheDate may reject purchases, remove content, block usernames, or close access to admin tools at its discretion to protect the platform and its users.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Polar. Prices are shown before checkout. A date tile can be purchased multiple times over time, and later purchases replace the active display rights for that tile. Additional payment processor terms may apply to your transaction.
6. Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. BuyTheDate does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent placement, or continued public visibility of any particular tile. To the maximum extent allowed by law, BuyTheDate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
